Ashley Sgambati-Owner/Groomer

Ever since I was a kid I have wanted to work with animals, so when I was offered a position as a bather in a groom shop when I was 16, I was so excited to get the chance. In 2006, after I turned 18, I went to the Pet Stylist Academy and became a certified dog groomer and have never looked back! I have worked in a few private salons through the years and decided it was time to open my own salon. I strive to make your pets grooming experience as comfortable and stress free as possible and their safety and well being is my top priority. Grooming dogs is not what I do, it is what I love, and I feel so privileged to have a career that allows me to fuel my passion day in and day out.

Sara Best- Manager/Groomer

Wilmington Native Sara Best has had a lifelong passion for animals.  Soon after returning home from college, she was able to turn that passion into a career. Sara earned an apprenticeship and her certification under some of the area's top groomers.  With over twelve years of experience in the animal industry, grooming has a special place in her heart.  She strives to make each pets grooming experience fun, relaxing and something they will look forward to for years to come!

Alene Hughes-Groomer

I was once told "if you love what you do you will never work a day in your life," so that is exactly what I did.  I began my grooming career when I accepted a position as a bather at Petsmart in 2005, and within 3 months, I enrolled in the Pet Stylist Academy and earned my grooming certification.  I groomed at Petsmart until June of 2011, I accepted a position in a private grooming salon until 2020, when I decided it was time for a change. The best part about grooming is that no two days or two dogs are ever the same. Every day is an opportunity to learn and grow in this field and there is nothing better than when my four-legged clients come in wagging their tails and are as happy to see me as I am them.

Holly Mercer-Groomer

Holly grew up in Hampstead and graduated from Topsail High school. She knew from a young age that she always wanted to work with dogs. In high school she did an internship at a grooming salon, and also did her senior project on grooming.  As soon as she graduated, she started working at a grooming salon as a bather and later began an apprenticeship, learning how to groom all breeds and their specific cuts. Holly has worked with dogs for 8 years and loves getting to meet all of the new animals. She loves what she does and can't imagine doing anything else!
